Winnie, Doris, Tilly, Angel and Kujo

I had a treat on Sunday! Walking along the beach I spotted a group of dogs having fun in the sea and thought how perfect they would be for the blog, there I met Winnie the Bulldog aged 2, Doris the Pug aged 2, Tilly the Jack Russell aged 4, Angel the Springer Spaniel aged 6 and Kujo the Siberian Husky aged 1.

They were tearing around the place, chasing the ball, chasing each other, in and out of the sea, all except Winnie who was more interested in posing for her photos and having as many cuddles and scratches behind the ear as she could. To say I fell in love with her is putting it mildly.

I didn't find out much more about the dogs but I did find out from their lovely owners that there is going to be a fundraising dog walk held here in Harwich, and I had just missed the first one by about half an hour, there were about 20 dogs in total but I am going to the next on on March 22nd and shall take lots of photos.

I also found out about dog agility lessons in Wix and a dogathon in Brightlingsea.

You've got to love dog people!!

Buddy

Meet Buddy, a ridiculously cute Cocker-Poo, he had just been to see Tracey and got a hair cut and very smart he looks too. He is coming up to 3 yrs old, he knows lots of tricks, he dances, twizzles, sits and stays and is generally a very clever dog.

Honey

This little sweetie is Honey and she took quite a shine to my dog, Fergus and they had a good romp around on the prom.

She is a beautiful 2 year old Westie and her Dad has had her since she was a puppy.

She always lays down when she sees a dog (see first photo) and she is very well behaved.

Whenever I see a dog in a coat it always shouts love, care and devotion to me, you know that dog is pampered and well looked after.

Oki

What a stunner!!!

This beautiful, handsome boy is Oki, a 6 year old Husky. His parents have had him for 5 months after buying him from someone who was keeping him in unsuitable conditions.

He is very well known around town!

I hope I meet him again and I can take some better photos, I was on the beach and he was 3ft above me on the prom looking through the railings so it was hard to get a photo that didn't have railings in it.

Clarence, Otis and Lily

                                                                                                                                                                

 

This happy trio os made up of Clarence (black face), Otis (tan face) both German Shepherds and Lily the black Labrador and they are 7 years old.

They were extremely happy and excited and were having a lot of fun running in and out of the sea.

Their Mum said they are full of life, very well behaved and love the beach.

Buddy

Meet Buddy, he's a Patterdale/Lakeland cross but could also possibly have a bit of Border Terrier in him...maybe.

He is 9 months old and his Mum has had him since he was 8 weeks old.

He loves his ball and a good boogie, when asked to dance he's up on his back legs strutting his stuff.

He is very clever, knows exactly what his Mum is saying and to be honest, he is just like a little human.

Anya and Susie

Meet Anya and Susie. Anya is a 5 year old Old English Sheepdog and Susie is a 9 year old Lhasa Apso and their mum has had them both from puppies.

Anya is very protective of little Susie and if another dog comes near her, Anya will put Susie between her legs and stand over her, I love the way Susie is peeking shyly out from behind Anya in the photo as Anya stands guard in front of her awwwwwww

Kizzi

Kizzi is a 6.5 year old Miniature Schnauzer and has lived with her Mum since she was a puppy.

She knows lots of tricks and as you can see, she is admirably displaying her Sit Up and Beg trick to perfection.

She has a tendency to steal things off the bedside cabinet.

Gus Hunny Bun

This is Gus Honey Bun (to give him his full name), a 6 yr old Patterdale/Jack Russell cross, and what a fine combination it makes!

He is a real character and knows quite a few tricks, roll over, dance etc although his Mum is convinced that if you shave his head he'll have 666 marked on his scalp and he can turn into a Rottweiler when he wants.

Nah, don't believe a word of it!!!

Dixie

Another serious case of Cute......

This is Dixie, a 12 week old Sprocker Spaniel with the ability to move at the speed of light.

She had an obsession with my scarf which made photographing her somewhat of a challenge as she was mostly underneath my camera!

Her favourite things to do are chase her toy lion, and sticks that are far bigger than herself, along the beach.

She prefers humans to dogs.

And scarves. She loves scarves.

Angel and Jess

Meet Angel and Jess.

Angel is a 4 month old Dalmatian with an amazing one blue eye and one brown eye!

Her companion is 3 month old Collie/Lab cross Jess.

Both were extremely excitable, energetic and playful and it was some kind of miracle I got any photos at all!

Dougal and Ollie

Dougal and Ollie are 2 Lhasa Apso dogs, they are brothers and are both 5 years old.

Dougal is the white one and Ollie the black and white.

Their favourite things are sleeping, going on the beach and going for  a sausage at the New Bell pub .

Rocky

Rocky is a big ball of bouncy Boxer! He is 3 years old.

He is a rescue dog who has been very lucky to be adopted, just 8 months ago, by someone who clearly loves him very much.

Millie

Millie is a 3.5 year old Patterdale terrier who started out as a rescue dog and was lucky enough to find a loving home.

Her favourite thing is chocolate (you and me both Millie)

Robbie

This is Robbie Bushell, he is a chocolate Labrador and he is an impressive 11 years old.

He has one blind eye but that does not detract from the fact he is a mighty handsome boy.

Robbie was originally an anniversary present for his mum, unfortunately she didn't want a dog and cried but she soon fell in love with him and wouldn't give him up for anything.

He knows how to do the trick of 'rolling over'.

His favourite thing is food, especially cat food....yum.
